Figures and Faces

The Prairie Renaissance Cultural Alliance is pleased to present Figures and Faces, a solo exhibition of new work by Michael Weatherly. Please join us on Thursday April 4th, from 6-9 p.m., for the opening reception and to meet the artist.

In the exhibition, Weatherly presents a series of recent artworks that feature abstract faces and figures.

Michael Weatherly is an Elbow Lake, MN based artist who has exhibited prints and paintings in shows both locally and nationally. His work has been recently included in group exhibitions at University of Minnesota (Morris, MN), Lake Regions Art Council Gallery (Fergus Falls, MN), Minneapolis Institute for the Arts (Minneapolis, MN), and the Giles Gallery (Richmond, KY).

 

Weatherly is a 1993 graduate of the University of Minnesota Morris with a BA in Art History with a minor in Studio Art. He has also been the recipient of several artist grants including the McKnight Foundation Artist Grant and the Lake Regions Art Council Artists Grant.

The Prairie Renaissance Cultural Alliance is a grassroots, volunteer-based, membership-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing cultural life on the prairie. The PRCA’s mission is to advocate, promote and coordinate arts, heritage, and cultural activities in Stevens County and the surrounding area.
